It has now been one week of trying to reach my so-called attorney, James Parsa, by telephone. There is still an outgoing message when you call the office, but it seems it has been changed slightly. The message now states the firm is "no longer accepting new clients" but still gives callers the phoney assurances that "we are diligently working to resolve your loan modification", HA, don't think so unless you can practice law without a license!
Today I start the task all over of faxing documents to my mortgage company. It's a tedious job and one I keep putting off--as you can see I am currently blogging rather than faxing.
Last night I contacted a woman named Erin Baldwin who is a self-proclaimed consumer advocate. I am waiting to hear from Erin. I contacted her because she's a victim of James Parsa too. I wanted to get her insights into this A-hole.
Erin started blogging about James Parsa over a year ago and for her efforts, Parsa filed a slander suit against her for several thousands of dollars. The case was heard in Orange County, California Superior Court. Erin lost! Who the hell was her attorney? She didn't just lose, she lost BIG time to the tune of $605,000. She alleged in her blog that Parsa was a pedophile, which is apparently the truth based on the court records posted at the calbar.org site. Isn't truth the absolute defense in slander cases? Erin's case is up on appeal. In in light of Erin's blogging allegations coming true in that Parsa's now been convicted on the charges of having sex with a minor, the judgment against Erin should be overturned. If not, there is no justice.
Erin had contacted OC Register, the local newspaper about Parsa and his activities, however the Register would not investigate Erin's allegations apparently because the Parsa Law Group were big advertisers in their newspaper. If only the Register had done a story, they might have saved all of us from being victims of this scamming attorney.
All for now. I need to start my faxing!
